The supporting libraries and cooperation partners of Propylaeum are involved in the German National Research Data Infrastructure: The Bavarian State Library (Co-Applicant) and the Gnomon Bibliographic Database (Partner) are involved in NFDI4Memory, the Heidelberg University Library (Participant) and the German Archaeological Institute (Main Applicant) in NFDI4Objects.

The FID Ancient Studies in the overall FID system

The Specialised Information Service (FID) Ancient Studies - Propylaeum is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) as part of the Specialised Information Services for Science programme. Currently (as of 08/2024), 41 specialised information services (FID) are operated at libraries and infrastructure facilities in Germany as part of third-party funded projects. All FIDs are connected in an overarching and networked infrastructure that enables knowledge transfer, subsequent use of technologies, coordinated task sharing, joint development of services and the guarantee of interoperability. Self-organisation of the FIDs takes place in the FID Working Group (AG FID). Propylaeum is involved in the committees of the AG FID, but also cooperates directly with other FIDs and provides digital services and open source software for subsequent use.
