In the course of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) funded Special Subject Collection „Classical Archeology“ the University Library of Heidelberg collects also literature on Aegean archaeology for many decades. In the last years the University Library has begun to digitize out-of-copyright and valuable works – as for example Arthur Evans' Palace of Minos – and present them Open Acess online. The offer is expanded continuously.
